I. Job Objectives:
Align with HK Design Managers and lead the China development design team to handle all product design and development for achieving the company objectives of producing high quality toys on time and on budget.Lead the team to handle all refresh and customized items independently.

III.Main Tasks and Accountabilities:
Product Design & Development (25%)
-Lead the development design team to handle the design and development work at various milestones, e.g. RCR, CA, EA.
-Review Design Turnover Packages, game play, product description, cost estimation & breakdowns, electronic specifications with product designers
-Maintain the good quality of work, in order to line up with the standard of HK & US Design teams.
Project Management (25%)
-Align with HK design managers on project management, ensure all projects are meeting the costs and schedules.
Communication (25%)
-Update either US or HK design counterparts the project status regularly.
-Co-ordinate with different brands for information flow, and gather the sufficient reference for development.
-Keep close communication with Engineering, NTP, PP, PI, Packaging and R&D workshops during product development.
-Chair weekly WIP meetings in order to keep the team updated on project progress.
People Development (25%)
-Provide guidance on styling of various lines.
-Give design direction to designers
-Initiate improvement program and define objectives for working efficiency and skill development.
-Provide designers with on-the-job training for developing their design skills and knowledge for catching new trends and supervisory skills for personal growth
IV. Key Relationships:
Internal Working Relationships : US & HK Design Teams, R&D, China Operations, Engineering, Cost Engineering, PS, NTP, PI.
External Working Relationships : Material Suppliers, vendors and Model Makers.
V. Education: University graduate in Industrial/Product Design.
VI. Experience: Minimum 6 years in toys design and 2 years in managerial level.
VII.Knowledge & Skills:
(1) Thorough Knowledge of product / toys (plastics & soft goods) design & development processes.
(2) Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
(3) Good knowledge of 2D & 3D computer-aided-design software.
(4) Good management and organization skill, as well as good interpersonal skill.
(5) Excellent communication skill in both English and Chinese.
