Summary
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible of his/her project from the beginning to the end, that is from the customer request until the delivery and customer satisfaction. There are 3 mains responsibilities for a PM: price, quality and delivery.
Principal tasks and duties
1)Creates, executes and revises the planning of the projects
2)Identifies and defines the various resources needed and assigns the responsibilities (technical, quality, logistic, etc…)
3)Requests quotations to the suppliers and elaborates the quotations for the customers in a timely fashion
4)Manage the day-to-day activities related to the projects
5)Evaluates the risks and exposures on the projects and propose solutions of improvements
6)Manage the projects budgets
7)Ensure the respect of the key dates of the projects and the delivery dates
8)Communicates efficiently with the suppliers and customers, and keep them informed of the situation of the projects and requests
9)Ensures that the projects documents are complete, updated and conform. Ensures that the documentation is stored appropriately (hardcopy and electronic copy)
10)Respect the processes implemented in PTAP, make constructive suggestions for change
Skills
1)Cost oriented and strong negotiator
2)Quality focused person, understanding of the market and industry of PAC Team
3)Sets and manages customers expectations, good communications skills
4)Team player and open minded. Good computer skills (Word, Excel)
Responsibilities
1)Responsible of the respect of the delivery date confirmed to the customers
2)Responsible of the profitability of his/her projects (margin of 15%)
3)Responsible of the quality standards agreed with the customers, or requested by the customers
Additional information
The PM has to ensure confidentiality on his/her work towards external companies or persons. He/she may be requested to execute other work that is not included in this job description upon request of his/her superior.
A project can be a prototype as well as a production.
