Distribution Center Manager

职位描述

    JOB SUMMARY:
Direct and oversee the overall distribution operation, including receiving, traffic, and facility management, the integrity of the finished goods inventory, invoicing, and the allocation process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Manage, oversee, mentor and direct all aspects of DC staff, including but not limited to scheduling; goal setting & evaluation, wage reviews, disciplinary actions as needed.
2. Develop and manage systems for cost effective, efficient and accurate inventory control, goods flow, and traffic management.
3. Develop and manage systems for effective & efficient formal & informal communication between warehouse and other departments.
4. Actively participate in ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) Systems integration and enhancement for and between warehouse and other BD departments.
5. Oversee, manage & direct all aspects of DC facility maintenance.
6. Oversee & direct all aspects of DC Supplies purchasing for low cost/high quality/high "green" materials.
7. Assist Supervisors and Merchandise Handlers as needed with hands-on receiving, picking, packing and shipping duties.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years experience in warehouse/distribution facility management. 3+ years experience with WMS preferred
- Skills and general experience: Excellent computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet) are mandatory.
- Experience with integrated business systems software mandatory.
- Must have knowledge & experience of ISO requirements for inventory control and distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor & challenge employees to meet daily, weekly, monthly, safety and company goals.
- Strong team player with demonstrated ability to lead a team.
- -Proven ability to complete tasks with minimum OT required.
