Procurement Manager
PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Manage ring Director, will participate with other senior managers in establishing corporate strategic sourcing plans and will direct the division's Procurement and Sourcing teams to implement company policies. This position will be responsible for sustaining strong supplier relationships in order to achieve maximum cost effectiveness for the company and its customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
1. Work closely with senior management and the finance department to maintain and control Procurement department budgets;
2. Be responsible for the development and implementation of Procurement and contract management instructions, policies and procedures;
3. Provide overall strategy and management of Advanced Sourcing and Preferred Suppliers List;
4. Negotiate pricing and contracts with strategic suppliers in conjunction with functional management;
5. Be responsible for relationship building with key suppliers on behalf of the Company;
6. Measure performance of supply base and feedback of results in conjunction with Senior Management and make recommendations in terms of supplier performance and potential suppliers;
7. Oversee the development of partnerships in the supply base to support current and future business demands;
8. Be responsible for the creation of new strategies for attaining new business customers;
9. Direct the creation and management of strategic breakthrough strategies for a pre-defined commodity portfolio to support business requirements.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor degree or above, with a minimum of five years experiences in Procurement and Sourcing management, in which, at least two years at a managerial level;
2. Very high level of communication & interpersonal skill, motivate employees, generate work output through his/her staff;
3. High level of analytic ability, good problem solving skill, and desire for continuous improvement;
4. Strong sense of responsibility/accountability and team work spirit, understand how to develop a performing team;
5. Strong result orientation, showing leadership by examples and can work individually under high pressure;
6. Good English speaking and writing ability;
7. SAP knowledge and strong negotiation skills are must.
